Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs, to which was referred
Resolution No. 330-23, reports as follows:
Resolution 330-23, introduced by Council Member Ashley L. Kierkiewicz via Communication
No. 559 dated October 13, 2023, strongly urges protection of iwi kupuna at Kumukahi and
collective action to preserve and manage cultural and natural resources of Kumukahi.
This resolution seeks to preserve and protect this site by limiting exposure to burial sites and
cultural features.
Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs is in accord with the purpose
and intent of Resolution No. 330-23, and recommends its adoption.
