Objectives: To establish and maintain an operational victim-witness assistance unit within the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney. Outcomes or Results: The Victim Assistance Unit provided services to a total of 4,903 victims, 985 witnesses, 123 secondary victims, and 500 other parties to cases involving approximately 21 different types of victimizations. Services provided included but not limited to: advocacy within and outside the Comm. No. 101,21 Hawaii County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer TOE Ref.
