Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 100, reports as follows:
Bill No. 100, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako via Communication No. 579 dated
October 26, 2023, amends Ordinance No. 23-50, as amended, the operating budget for the County
of Hawaii for fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.
This bill appropriates revenues in Federal Grants — Fiscal Year 2023 Volunteers in Service to America
Support Grant account ($50,000); and appropriates the same to the Fiscal Year 2023 Volunteers in
Service to America Support Grant account. Funds would be used to provide community-based training
and regional education to VISTA personnel.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 100, and recommends
its passage on first reading.
