Aloha Council Chair Kimball and Council Members:
In accordance with the County Charter Section 13-4 (c), I submit Mr. Justin Ackerman of District 9 for
reappointment to the Game Management Advisory Commission. The Council confirmed Mr.
Ackerman on June 7, 2023.
As noted previously, Mr. Ackerman served his entire career in the Naval Special Warfare as a Special
Warfare Combat Crewman. He grew up hunting and fishing and is a Federal Firearms Instructor. He is
retired and volunteers to counsel military veterans on retirement goals and hardship. There are no
updates to his current application on file. If confirmed, he will serve a term ending December 31, 2028.
