In accordance with the County Charter Section 13-4 (c), I submit Mr. Paul "Scotty"Paiva for
reappointment to the Board of Ethics. The Council confirmed Mr. Paiva on March 22, 2023.
As mentioned earlier, Mr. Paiva is a resident of Hawaii and has lived here all his life. He graduated
from Hilo High School and holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Hawaii
at Hilo. Additionally, he has a Bachelor of Science degree from Excelsior College. Mr. Paiva has
extensive experience in employment, education, and specialized training across various domains.
There are no updates to his current application on file. If confirmed, he will serve a term ending
December 31, 2028.
