oJNtV of N1.' <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAI'I -+E��''-%.'%E•- STATE OF HAWAI'I <br /> b _J.• <br /> 7T.oF•M►�f► <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 371 23 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br /> DONATION OF AN AWNING WITH INSTALLATION TO THE <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAI`I DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br /> RECREATION. <br /> WHEREAS, the West Hawai`i Veterans Cemetery Development and Expansion <br /> Association is donating an awning with installation to the County of Hawaii Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation; and <br /> WHEREAS, this donation, valued at approximately $13,000, will be installed at the <br /> West Hawai`i Veterans Cemetery; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawai`i County Charter,provides that the <br /> council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br /> personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this <br /> donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I, , in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawai`i County Charter,the County of <br /> Hawai`i, accepts this donation. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this <br /> resolution be sent to West Hawai`i Veterans Cemetery Development and Expansion <br /> Association, PO Box 1788, Kealakekua, HI 96750, acknowledging this generous donation. <br />
