J�SV OF \�.�W�j. <br /> .' \ L <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAI`I :*(4 ] • STATE OF HAWAI I <br /> OF•...., <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 373 23 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING THE SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO NORTH KOHALA <br /> COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES RELATED TO <br /> THE MAINTENANCE OF EXERCISE EQUIPMENT AT THE IKUO HISAOKA <br /> GYMNASIUM IN KAPA'AU. <br /> WHEREAS, there are many improvements that need to be implemented at the Ikuo <br /> Hisaoka Gymnasium, an existing County facility at Kamehameha Park in Kapa`au; and <br /> WHEREAS,North Kohala Community Resource Center (NKCRC) is a 501(c)(3) <br /> nonprofit organization working in partnership with community members to improve and <br /> maintain the Ikuo Hisaoka Gymnasium; and <br /> WHEREAS,NKCRC is requesting funding assistance to help cover the costs for <br /> maintenance and repairs to exercise equipment used in the fitness room of the Ikuo Hisaoka <br /> Gymnasium; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Department of Parks and Recreation supports this project as it is in <br /> keeping with the goals and objectives of the department to provide safe, clean, enjoyable, <br /> accessible, and aesthetically pleasing facilities; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, <br /> service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now,therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to North Kohala Community Resource Center to assist <br /> with expenses related to the maintenance of exercise equipment at the Ikuo Hisaoka Gymnasium <br /> in Kapa'au. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
