Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to submit the nomination of Alfred Franco of Kohala (CD-9) to
the Hawaii County Board of Appeals to replace William F. Green of Hilo (CD-2),
whose term expired on December 31, 1997.
Mr. Franco is a life-time resident of Hawaii and since 1995 has been retired.
Prior to that, he was the Owner/Manager of the Parker Ranch Broiler. He is a
member of the Waimea Family YMCA and the Waimea Lions. He states that he
has no political party affiliation.
If approved, Mr. Franco will serve the balance of the unexpired term which will
end on December 31, 2002. Should the Council have any questions regarding
this nomination, you may call me at your convenience.
