No. 592/Res. No. 358-23 <br />Your Committee on Legislative Approvals and Acquisitions, to which was referred Resolution <br />No. 358-23, reports as follows: <br />Resolution No. 358-23, transmitted by Michelle Galimba, via Communication No. 592, dated <br />October 30, 2023, awards a Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation <br />Maintenance Fund Stewardship Grant to Na Mamo O Kawa. <br />This resolution approves a grant of $123,788 to Na Mamo O Kawa, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br />organization, to continue providing land stewardship and cultural education for properties in Kawa, <br />Hilea Nui, and Ka`alaiki, (Tax Map Keys: 9-5-016:006, 025 and 9-5-017:005, 007), pursuant to <br />Section 10-16(h) of the Hawaii County Charter. <br />Finance Property Manager Hamana Ventura was available in chambers for questions and thanked the <br />nonprofit for its work.
