A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF BIOASTIN SUPPLEMENTS TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAIʻI FIRE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the Cyanotech Corporation is donating two (2) bottles of BioAstin, sixty (60) count per bottle, 4MG vegan formula for each working uniformed firefighter, totaling approximately
seven hundred ninety (790) bottles to the County of Hawai‘i Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, this BioAstin supplement, valued at approximately $18,208.08, will be utilized by the uniformed firefighters to support their physical fitness and health; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaiʻi County Charter, provides that the council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other personal
property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I, in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaiʻi County Charter, the County of Hawaiʻi, accepts this donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Fire Department, the Department of Finance, and the Office of Management.
