SUBJECT: Transmitting Resolution No. 328-23, Draft 2; a Resolution Urging the Mayor to
Enter into Negotiations with the United States Department of the Interior for the
Acquisition of the Property Identified as Tax Map Key (3) 5-6-001:062, Known
as Old Coast Guard Road, and Other Adjacent Federal Lands as May Be
Necessary, Situated in the Ahupua'a of 'Upolu, District of North Kohala.
Transmitted herewith is Resolution No. 328-23, Draft 2. Resolution No. 328-23 was amended by
the contents of Communication No. 557.14, as duly approved by the Council during its meeting on
December 6, 2023.
The Council voted to suspend Rule No. 23 -1 (d) of the Rules of Procedure and Organization of
the Council, which requires the holdover of a substantively amended resolution, and adopted
Resolution No. 328-23, as amended to Draft 2.
