Renaming Wong Stadium Ballfield to James "Jimmy" Correa
Ballfield
Dear Honorable Council Members,
It has been an honor for me to have played and coached with James
"Jimmy" Correa. He is a man of integrity and character. Coach Jimmy
always represented fairness and fair play in the pursuit of excellence. His
schoolroom was the ballfield, and the curriculum he used was baseball.
The Merriam-Webster 2023 word of the year is "AUTHENTIC"...a simple
word that encompasses so much. It is this simple word that so aptly
describes Coach Correa.
Thank you for your support to name the Dr. Francis F.C. Wong Stadium
