Aloha Members of the Hawaii County Council,
My name is Michael Costales,grandnephew of James Correa. I will keep my testimony short as I am sure you will receive
many testimonies in favor of the passage of Bill 103.
I played for Uncle Jimmy in the PONY/COLT Leagues and High School. Like Uncle Jimmy and his sons,we represented a
long line of catchers. He took pride in guiding us, but his greatest contribution was how, by example, he taught us to be
honest, hardworking, and respectful citizens;desirable characteristics of positive contributing citizens in our community.
Coach Correa made a positive difference in our community and this recognition is well deserved. I am certain you will
support this bill as you know what he has done for Hilo and perhaps some of you have also been touched by his
mentorship.
