Subject: Rezoning of 92 Kalanianaole
It's come to my attention that it's being asked to rezone this area so someone
can build a car lot. I'm decidedly against this. Urban sprawl doesn't happen
on a Tuesday, it happens slowly, little by little, so that nobody notices. Then •
the older generations end up trying to explain what was lost to the younger
generation, who try in vain to imagine how salubrious and beautiful this area
once was.
It's so easy to lose our special places, but nearly impossible to restore
them. If anything, this parcel should be restored to
its naturally beautiful state.
