Please don't rezone-for the sake of this neighborhood, the environment, and the traffic rezone this spot.
This rezoning will get rid of two essential and long-running restaurants (leased and run by local people serving local
people). In its place, the owner will construct an Aloha Kia for 2025.This is basically a parking lot (+service station)that
we don't need here.
I love these businesses and the people who work there. Please don't push out these people, take away affordable food
options and make this a food desert.
I am vehemently opposed to this rezone due to the impact it will have on the local community. Other places are 100%
catering to tourism and many people cannot afford to buy food nearby without places like Millies and New Saigon.This
iconic spot is a place where kids jump into the water and come to Millie's for snacks ('shave ice', cookies, sandwiches,
salads, shakes, etc).
Resident of Keaukaha ( I work and live here. Let's not pave paradise and put up (another) auto lot.)
Let's do an assessment and deny or postpone this decision.
