Aloha my name is Jennifer Valera, I am writing to you today to show my support for Bill 102 and the end to flavored
tobacco products.As a Mother, Coach, Health Educator, and a resident of North Hawaii I have seen our keiki become
highly addicted to electronic smoking devices.The flavors for the electronic smoking devices entice our children. Flavors
mimicking the familiar snacks, candy, cereal, &juice that our youth grew up with entices them and creates a false sense
that it is for them to use.The curiosity of our youth taking one hit from this extremely high nicotine delivery device
creates a lifetime addiction and struggle.They are now experimenting with adding other illegal substances to these
devices. Please help us to protect our keiki of Hawai'i County.They deserve to have a tobacco-free life, where they can
prosper and become the future leaders of our state.
