Council Chair and Members,
My name is Antu Harvey from Holualoa.
Thank you for hearing this resolution. Please vote in favor of RES 287-23.
Civic Engagement is vital to democracy.And especially with our geographically large island and diverse population,
offering remote access to testify, observe meetings live online and ensuring access to meeting recordings, is absolutely
necessary.
Remote access should be considered as important as attending in person. Meetings should not be allowed to continue if
the technology link is lost during the meeting. Disregarding people's opportunity for live remote testimony because of
technical difficulty is not acceptable. _
