Subject: Ref: Resolution 328 23, Kohala Old Coast Guard Road
Aloha Council Members,
I am in favor for transferring the Old Coast Guard from the Federal Government to our County Roads
division provided that the road is transferred in decent condition. Mahalo to the local homeowners
and Kohala residents who did recent repairs by filling some dangerous potholes.
The road also provides makai access to the Mookini Heiau, Kamehameha birthplace, the Ala Kahakai
trail and excellent access for local food gathering from the shoreline.
