Resolution 328 23 we urge the mayor to enter into negotiations with the United States
Department of Interior for the acquisition of the property identified as Tax Map Key
(3) 5-6-001:062, known as Old Coast Guard Road, and Other adjacent Federal lands as
may be necessary, situated in the Ahupua'a
of'Upolu, District of North Kohala.
Please acquire and maintain this very important road.
This road is so worthy of Preservation.
It provides safe access to Ancient History, Fishing for our Children and Grandchildren,
access to current Historical Sites and trails, and to Sunsets, Surfing and Humpback
Whale Watching and Native Hawaiian Gatherings in their Sacred Locations.
Please give this Road the Honor and Distinction and Care it Needs for All of Us for Today
and for All who will come in the Future.
