COUNTY COUNCIL TESTIMONY ,..,
Tuesday, December 6, 2023
Friends of First Responders wishes to thank Council Member
Rebecca Villegas for contributing from her Contingency Relief
funds towards the Blue Courage training for First Responders that
we are working on.
We are also grateful for the entire County Council that has
supported us either through their Contingency Relief Funds or in
other ways. Your support means a lot to us and is helping us at a
critical time in our growth as a non-profit that seeks to provide
health and wellness support to our first responders and their
families. Your support has helped us to become more firmly
established in our community.
The Blue Courage Training came to our attention through Police
Lieutenants Ed Buyten and Aaron Carvalho who attended the
training and wanted to bring it to our island. As an organization,
training is one of our top priorities and we take serious
recommendations that come to us through our first responders.
We believe that this training will build morale in our first
responders and also help first responder couples.
This would not be possible without your support. Thanks again
and we hope to continue our partnership into the future.
. RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTED,
Chaplain Renee D. Godoy
