Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to submit the nomination of Walter Moe of Puna, (CD-5) to the
Hawaii County Police Commission to replace Burnalyn L. Yee of Puna, (CD-5),
whose term expired on December 31, 1998_
Mr. Moe is a 9-year resident of Hawaii and since 1993 has been self-employed
as a marketing consultant. Prior to that, he was the CEO at Hypress
Technologies, Inc., in California (1989-1993). He is active with the Rotary
International and Toastmasters International and is a member of the Republican
Party.
If approved, Mr. Moe will serve the balance of the unexpired term which will end
on December 31, 2003. Should the Council have any questions regarding this
nomination, you may call me at your convenience.
