Aloha council members,
You have an important opportunity to correct bad legislation that was passed in error at the last council meeting.
Most residents of this county aren't asking for special favors like rezoning, but they've asked this council loudly and
clearly to help protect the rule of law, democratic process, and their Public Trust Resources.To achieve those ends,we
ask that you please support the amendment to Reso 372-23 introduced by Rep Villegas that limits the scope of services
provided by outside counsel only for clarification on a legal matter which, in this case, is to determine whether or not
the county is violation the Clean Water Act.Also support language that further solids and insures the intent and
outcome of the change by requiring Corporation Counsel to return to the county council after the declaratory judgment
has been issued by the court to decide what additional funding will be needed to fulfill the injunctive relief portion of
the litigation.
Mahalo for doing the right thing by voting in support of amended Resolution 372-23 as per above.
