Re: Operating Budget
In the current Budget Ordinance 23-50, $1,000,000 is appropriated in the Office of
Housing and Community Development's Housing Choice Emergency Housing Voucher
Program account. Additional federal funds in the amount of$400,000 are being provided
by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development(HUD)to be used
towards housing assistance payment costs for the Emergency Housing Voucher Program.
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these
additional funds into the Office of Housing and Community Development's Housing
Choice Emergency Housing Voucher Program account, bringing the total appropriation
to $1,400,000.

The Office of Housing and Community Development is requesting to amend Ordinance 23-50 by
appropriating the following:

This appropriation reflects additional rental subsidy funding allocation to be received from the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development for the Emergency Housing Voucher Program. The
$400,000 is to be used for housing assistance payment costs for the Emergency Housing Voucher
Program.
