Hawai`i County Council 25 Aupuni Street Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 Re: Operating Budget In the current Budget Ordinance 23-50, $545,760 is appropriated in the Police Department's NICS Act Record Improvement Program account. Additional federally derived funds in the amount of$169,728 are being provided by the State of Hawai`i Department of the Attorney General, Hawai`i Criminal Justice Data Center to convert paper files to electronic formats and to fund overtime hours for staff to scan and review documents for electronic conversion. Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these additional funds into the Hawai`i County Police's NICS Act Record Improvement Program account, bringing the total appropriation to $715,488.
