HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 399 Draft 01 2022-2024 RESOLUTION CHANGING THE STATUS AND FUNDING SOURCE OF ONE (1) PROGRAM SUPPORT TECHNICIAN (TEMPORARY) POSITION TO BECOME A FULL-TIME PERMANENT POSITION WHEREAS, in 2019, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) provided federal funding for three (3) temporary positions under the Disaster Case Management Program (DCMP); WHEREAS, the federal funding for these positions has ceased at the end of the grant term; and WHEREAS, the Planning Department desires to change one (1) of the three (3) positions, Position No. OO-05002 Program Support Technician (Temp), from temporary status to become a full-time permanent position funded by the County; and WHEREAS, this position will be reallocated to a Human Resources Technician, which is critical for the Planning Department’s Administrative Services staff to properly support the growing Department; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that position OO-05002, Program Support Technician (Temp), be changed from temporary status, to become a full-time permanent County funded position for future reallocation to a Human Resources Technician. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funds should be available in the various regular salaries and wages accounts of the Planning Department for this position. BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawai‘i shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of Management, Department of Finance, Department of Human Resources and Planning Department.
