Aloha Council Chair Kimball and Council Members:
I am pleased to nominate Cathy Ferreira of District 3 to the Pension Board.
Cathy is a lifelong resident of Hawai`i and a graduate of Hilo High School. She has an Associate
of Arts degree in Business from Hawai`i Community College. She has served as a private
secretary for the Hawai`i County Fire Department, and she worked for the County of Hawaii
Corporation Counsel for 34 years until her retirement in 2016.
Cathy has a deep understanding of how the county works and will be a valuable addition to the
pension board. If confirmed, she will serve a term ending December 31, 2028.
