LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR
FOR MULTI -YEAR LEASES FOR ONE (1) FORKLIFT, ONE (1)
3-TON DUMP TRUCK AND ONE (1) SUPER DUTY TRUCK WITH
UTILITY BODY AND CRANE FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract,
lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a
later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into multi -year leases for
five (5) years, for one (1) forklift, one (1) 3-ton dump truck and one (1) super duty
truck with utility body and crane; and
WHEREAS, this equipment will be utilized by the Department of
Environmental Management's Wastewater Division and is essential for their daily
operations; and
WHEREAS, the current equipment is dated and requires frequent repairs at
increasing costs; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into five (5) year leases
for the equipment as indicated above, for the Department of
Environmental Management.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the
anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the
agreement.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of
Hawaii shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of Management,
the Department of Environmental Management, and the Department of
Finance.
