Furthermore it ignores common sense traffic solutions that other intelligently planned communities have successfully implemented. Diverting traffic to Railroad Avenue doesn't nothing but push the bottlenecks downstream as most traffic would still require crossing over Highway 11. Puainako, Makala and Keilani currently can't handle the current volume of traffic. I challenge all parties to examine the strategic use of under and overpasses along Highway 11 instead. Metered on-ramps at the intersection of Highway 130.Working with the business community to allow for a variable work hours and work from home. Encourage and reward carpooling. Modify County and State workers schedules to reduce their impact. The large commercial entries should be cost sharing these improvements along Highway 11 as they benefit immensely from the additional traffic. I oppose bill 107 as stated.this bill must amended to exclude dhhl hawaiian trust lands from the PMAR study. our Pana'ewa and Keaukaha sister communities have already been burdened with the airport, rubbish dump, raceway park, and traffic. I oppose bill 107 as stated. This bill must amended to exclude DHHL Hawaiian trust lands from the PMAR study. Our Pana'ewa and Keaukaha sister communities have already been burdened with the airport noise and air pollution, HELCO pollution, County sewage pollution, rubbish dump, raceway park, and traffic/speeding cars through our community on railroad avenue. We do not need a freeway from Pahoa to Hilo through our community or Hawaiian Homeland trust lands. If the bill is not amended,do not pass it.
