I have been in major holiday mode, so I was oblivious to the fact that you have already taken up PMAR! I hope to write
more extensive testimony later, but suffice it to say, I am a huge supporter.As someone who relocated from the lava
covered Kapoho to lower HPP I see how imperative it is that we get another road out of here, even just for safety
reasons.
Day in and day out, I find myself crawling down Highway 130,just even from Kaloli to Keaau.The traffic is RIDICULOUS. If
you ever want to take a drive with me, I'll give you an insider perspective.
I could go on and on.
It's not realistic to think that we can commercially develop Puna enough to try and get people not to leave Puna for their
jobs daily. Sadly our lava zones inhibit the insurance for any commercial businesses to establish themselves/proper.
We just need to dig deep into
The work of improving our infrastructure in Puna and establish another main connector route into and out of Puna is
absolutely critical.
Please, please, please do what is right and vote in favor of PMAR.
I could not believe what I read in the newspaper the other day regarding the first reading of the related legislation.
Please send a coherent message to our state legislators that you view our infrastructure and our public safety needs as a
critical as us commoners out here see so plainly.
