Subject: AMEND BILL 107 TO EXCLUDE DHHL LANDS FROM PMAR STUDY
Dear County Council Members,
I am writing to OPPOSE BILL 107 AS STATED. I ask that this bill be amended to EXCLUDE DHHL HAWAIIAN TRUST LANDS
FROM THE PMAR STUDY.Over the past few years our community has strongly opposed the opening of Railroad Avenue.
Please hear our voices now.
Living in Pana`ewa comes with challenges, especially along Railroad Avenue. As you all know, our homestead
communities bear the burden of the airport, rubbish dump,wastewater treatment facility, raceway park, Keaukaha
Military Reserve and the industrial area.
We do not need a freeway from Pahoa to Hilo through our community. IF THE BILL IS NOT AMENDED,DO NOT PASS IT.
