I am an agricultural farm resident in Pana'ewa and I grew up in this area before Kai() Mall, Railroad Avenue, and even before becoming a DHHL Lessee. As many of us residents and farmers have established our homes and farms to raise our'ohana, we have done so considering that our pilina with our'aina would not be encumbered by projects that would bring more traffic and environmental hazards. Those`that first established farms here in Pana'ewa, along with their modest mala, were uprooted and relocated from Keaukaha to where they have settled and establish their homes and farms here in Pana'ewa. Now,just 2 generations later, this project now threatens to potentially place a major thoroughfare right through our community, and again disrupt the established community. Please amend the bill to remove thoroughfare access through Pana`ewa agriculture and residential area or any DHHL Hawaiian Trust Lands. Mahalo, U'ilani Naipo Pana'ewa, Hawai'i Comm.
