Aloha Hawaii County Council Members,
I am writing in support of Bill No. 82, Draft 4, AMENDS CHAPTER 2,ARTICLE 9, SECTION 2-40 AND ADDS A NEW ARTICLE
TO CHAPTER 14 OF THE HAWAI'I COUNTY CODE 1983(2016 EDITION,AS AMENDED), RELATING TO IMPROVING,
GRADING, REPAIRING, OR CONSTRUCTION WORK UPON PRIVATE, NONDEDICATED,AND NON-SURRENDERED ROADS
Road maintenance is an essential issue for most private subdivisions. With 75 miles of roads in Hawaiian Acres, keeping
the roads in reasonable condition is a continuing challenge. Our community would greatly appreciate the county's
assistance in determining and upgrading critical roads to ensure proper access for emergency responders.
Please consider giving Bill 82 a positive vote.
