Aloha esteemed Council Members of the County of Hawaii, ,_ K
I'm Charlette, and I run a store in our county. I'm writing to say I'm against the
proposed tobacco flavor ban bill.

This idea to stop selling all flavored tobacco products like menthol cigarettes and
flavored smokeless tobacco doesn't seem right. My customers might just go to other
towns or buy online if this happens.
During the pandemic you said my store and my workers were important to help our
community. But now, this new idea could hurt us and make my workers lose their jobs.
I'm confused. I'm trying my best to run a fair business. But some laws from the
government make it really hard for us. We follow the rules, but people still blame us
for things.
I ask you to let stores like mine keep selling what we have until the state makes a
decision on this. Please support local businesses until there's a fair rule for everyone.
