Dear County of Hawaii Council Members,
My name is Chris, and I own and operate a convenience store in our city. I
am writing to you to express my opposition to your proposed flavor ban
bill.
Banning the sale of all traditional flavored tobacco products including
menthol cigarettes, flavored smokeless tobacco products is government
overreach. My customers will simply drive to the next town over to
purchase their products.
State and local lawmakers deemed my business essential during the
pandemic so I could continue to serve the community. Now your
proposal tells me otherwise and could put me out of business.
Please stand with local business owners and VOTE NO.
