COUNTY OF HAWAI`I :. STATE OF HAWAI`I <br /> �rE cs•N►�+ . <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 420 24 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A <br /> LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR <br /> FOR MULTI-YEAR LEASES FOR TWO (2) BACKHOES, TWO (2) <br /> WHEELED LOADERS, SIX (6) ROLL-OFF TRUCKS, AND SEVEN <br /> (7) TRUCK TRACTORS FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, <br /> lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a <br /> later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into multi-year leases for <br /> five (5) years, for two (2) backhoes, two (2) wheeled loaders, six (6) roll-off trucks, <br /> and seven.(7) truck tractors; and <br /> WHEREAS, this equipment will be utilized by the Department of <br /> Environmental Management's Solid Waste Division to collect, move, sort, and haul <br /> refuse; and <br /> WHEREAS, the current equipment is dated and requires frequent repairs at <br /> increasing costs; now therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into five (5) year leases <br /> for the equipment as indicated above, for the Department of <br /> Environmental Management. <br />
