A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR TWO MULTI-FUNCTION COPY MACHINES FOR THE OFFICE OF THE
COUNTY CLERK.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article X, Section 10-11, of the County Charter, any contract, lease, or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year
or of more than one fiscal year shall be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawai‘i wishes to enter into a five-year lease for two multi-function copy machines for the Office of the County Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the current copy machines, located in the Council Services Section and the Administrative Services/Legislative Research Branch, are nine years old and obsolete; and
WHEREAS, a five-year lease for two multi-function copy machines would be approximately $215 per month; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five-year lease for two multi-function copy machines for the Office of the
County Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that sufficient funds shall be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Honorable Mayor Mitchell D. Roth, the Director of Finance, and the Office of the County Clerk.
