To whom it may concern,
I would like to ask for your consideration in NOT changing the short-term rental laws from what they are
currently.
I was born and raised in my home. My entire family has passed on and I rent out my Ohana as a short-term
rental to allow myself to survive the ever-increasing cost of living in my home. I would not rent it out to a long-
term renter, as i have had too many bad experiences doing so in the past, and it's just not worth the
headache. I understand that I will be grandfathered in, since i have been licensed to run my rental for years
now, but it sounds like there will be regulations that may still negatively affect myself, and others in my
position, regardless. Please seriously consider folks like us, who have spent our entire lives here, and finally
found a way to help survive above the poverty line, on our own properties. It seems it should be our choice to
do what we want, with our own homes, as long as we are not hurting or stealing from or inconveniencing our
neighbors or others. If we live on the property that is being rented, we should be left alone...please.
Thank you for hearing me out.
