Subject: Oppose Bill 121
Please oppose or heavily alter Bill 121. The current definition of a vacation rental as anything over 30
days is fine.That does not need to be changed and will have unintended consequences for many homes
that accommodate medium-term rentals but not quite 6 months.
Also,there should be an exemption for oceanfront properties.They will always have a heightened
property value and will not contribute to solving the affordable housing crisis.Allow those homes to be
vacation rentals, especially in areas that have lots of grandfathered-in homes like on Kealakekua Bay.
