To whom it may concern,
My family and I have been coming to Hawaii Island for over 30 years. We usually manage to make at least
one trip a year.We always stay in an Airbnb so that our family(two adults, two children -- now grown) can
stay together and enjoy each other's company. This summer,we plan to come to Hawaii Island and bring
our grandkids with us for the first time. Because family time is important to us,we would not come to
Hawaii if we did not have the option of staying in an Airbnb. Hotels don't allow us the family spaces we
need in order to socialize. If Airbnb-type rentals were to be made illegal in Hawaii,we would probably
choose a new family vacation location (Florida, California,Virgin Islands) and begin a new tradition there
with our family. I hope you will take into account losing long-term visitors like us and choose to protect
Airbnbs on Hawaii Island. If we can continue to rent a house when we visit,we will continue to come for
years and years to come.
Thank you very much.
