Thank you for listening to our perspective. Just a quick message for the group considering these changes. We have been renting our tiny one bedroom condo for twelve years, paying state taxes on our small income and paying residents to clean, repair, and maintain it.We keep our rates reasonable and pay our workers well because we are grateful to have a place on Big Island and we know how expensive it is to live here full time. (We can't afford to!) Our profit last year, after paying taxes and maintenance and cleaning,was$2,600. It seems really unreasonable for the state to charge us$1,000 on top of this. We are not a big corporation with hundreds of rentals.A thousand dollars is a lot of money for us.We ask that the regulations be tweaked to not ask single-unit owner/operators to pay such high rates in addition to high taxes and high employee costs. Mahalo for your time and consideration! Jane Mushinsky N ' cDcy-, Eric Kuniholm : ) -c-- J JJ LA9 Comm. No. P U) Ref. To: P l IAD 1 Ref. Date 3 2J2
