Subject: Bill 121 Comments-
I fail to see why this Bill is required and what it will accomplish,other than to further tax people who have invested
money in Hawaii.
We have already registered our property with the state of Hawaii and pay taxes to both the state and the county of
Hawaii.
Because we do not live on the island year-round,we are already paying higher taxes than local people do.
I see this as just a way to further tax people like us, if not, then why do you propose higher_rates for Un-hosted
properties?
This proposal won't hurt the corporations that own hundreds of investment properties on Hawaii.
This proposal won't lower the cost of housing or make housing more affordable for local residents.
What this proposal will do is put further burdens on individual property owners like ourselves.
I know what I think doesn't matter to the council and that they will do what they want anyway, but I think the proposal
should be denied.
