My parents have been relying on renting out a part of our house as a means of affording the high cost of living in this beautiful state. Bill 121,with its proposed regulations on housing rentals, threatens to disrupt our family's financial stability and impact my everyday life. The income generated from renting a portion of our home has allowed us to cover essential expenses such as food, mortgage, and healthcare. If this bill passes, it could limit our ability to continue renting out our space, putting a strain on our family's budget and potentially forcing us to make difficult choices. Living in Hawaii comes with its unique challenges, and the income from renting part of our house has been a lifeline for us. I urge lawmakers to consider the real-life implications on families like mine before making decisions that could jeopardize our ability to afford living in this beautiful but expensive state. Our well-being and future opportunities are at stake, and I hope that the concerns of young individuals like me are taken into serious consideration Comm. No. L IO O Ref. To: P 1 Ref.
