Subject: Oppose TAR Bill
Aloha Council Members,
I oppose the proposed TAR Bill as it will ultimately hurt the residents of Hawaii Island and the island's economy. Before
passing such a bill, please conduct a study to understand the financial impact on your constituents,the County and the State.
With the recent Maui wildfires, Hawaii cannot absorb another revenue loss caused by regulation that has not been properly
analyzed.
Our island residents have very few ways to share in the tourism economy. As this is our number one economic driver, by a
long shot, please do not take this income away. There is nothing to replace it and the impact to residents and businesses will
be detrimental.
Please pause and study the impact of the proposed regulation before devastating so many of your constituents.
