Thank you for giving me the opportunity to express my concern about this bill.
I know both council members worked very hard on this but to present it to the council is too pr natur?

1. What department is handling this? cis
What staff is going to over see this Bill 121? r--
Will it have its own accounting? _..
This bill will allow so many new rental investments especially with NODES. _ y
The developers are building homes with lock outs for future rentals. No help for affordable hoeing!
The last bill(2018)was put forward and APPROVED and yet the council piled it on the planning
dept. The planning department personnel are overworked and do not have the staff to handle this,
besides the conflict of interest with Zeno Kern as he had acted independently on behalf of many
residents seeking STRV permits. Two in my neighborhood that I know of and have the applications.
2. Parking is just one issue.
What is the department's transient accommodation rental parking schedule as referenced in Section
25-
4-16.5? Never heard of a parking schedule? Allowing Off-street parking is a joke. If you are running a
business then you should be able to accommodate your guests and their parking. Just mentioning Off-
Street parking should not be allowed for vacation rentals.
Just want the council to know that I have lived in my residential neighborhood for over 30 years and it is
now an
investment neighborhood. I have California owners on both sides of my property who don't care that
we are zoned residential and the county has allowed them to do what they said they were going to do
and have been doing..$$$$$$
They both have rentals and one has a TURO (many cars). Once this bill is passed in this form those
neighbors are going to become more insistent on where they can park. I can only hope that the council
will see how premature this bill is they are presenting and get it corrected. This bill is confusing and
contradicts itself in several areas.
There are so many issues with this bill I only hope the council does not do what the last council did and
say this is the best we have and we can always correct it later. No, let's get a good bill now.
