I have paid for my homes and you are trying to go against the constitution. It has been studied and proven by reports on Oahu that it does not address the housing issue for low income individuals. Most STR owners are retired. Individual supplementing their income. They are not open to renting long-term due to the individual rights of renters in the state of Hawaii. There are multiple accounts of landlords having difficulties collecting rent and/or removing individuals when they breach their contract. This is a serious issue in Hawaii and will only get worse with the new STVR proposed rules. Tourism is a necessity for Hawaii. The cheapest hotel is about$300 a night and adding the cost of food and gas on the island almost make it impossible for families to visit. Redefining words we have used for years to fit your agenda is wrong in every way possible. I pay exorbitant taxes for my homes and I don't appreciate the government.Trying to take away my rights.Space if I wanted that I would live in a communistic country. I strongly oppose this, thank you. --t ` t c-^; C• •— f. s d his Comm. N 11 S. Ref. To: 1 Ref. note 4AN 2 3 2024
