Aloha,
I had concerns regarding Bill 125. I was unable to download the full text, but the summary I was given said that it could
prevent groups from riding many of the scenic roads on the Big Island. As someone who frequently hops over just for
the purpose of riding on your beautiful island,which has MUCH less traffic and more roads than Oahu, I was wondering
what the purpose was of this bill and who it would benefit?
As someone who enjoys touring in an environmentally friendly manner via bike,vs. in a car, I was hoping that with the
advent of e-bikes that perhaps cycling would be a better alternative for even more tourists to keep more cars off the
road (I'm sure you've visited the North Shore here and seen the traffic)and allow more people to enjoy our islands
without adding to the pollution.Without understanding the full intent and details, I'm unable to see how it wouldn't
cause greater harm than good.
