I STRONGLY SUPPORT Resolution 416-24, removing DHHL lands from consideration when conducting studies for a Puna makai alternate route. I support the intent of the initiative to look at traffic relief alternatives for Puna, however I caution you in your consideration of putting burden on any communities such as Pana`ewa homestead. The population of Puna has and continues to grow, and that growth will be reflected in continued increase of traffic on all of our roads. However, homestead and residential areas should not receive that burden. Restrict that traffic to designed highways that keep our homestead and all residential communities safe and free from increase(speeding)commuter traffic. -U'ilani Naipo DHHL Keaukaha-Pana'ewa Farmers Association Homestead Lessee W r- --c; -71 • . t Comm.
