Aloha Council Chair Kimball and Council Members:
I am pleased to nominate Roger Kaiwi of District 6 to the Leeward Planning Commission.
Roger has been a resident of Hawai`i for 30 years. He offers a wealth of experience and
knowledge, especially in the coffee industry. With three decades of residence in Hawai`i and an
extensive career as a general manager,he possesses a deep understanding of the local
community, its needs, and the significance of sustainable practices, particularly in an industry
like coffee that can have a direct impact on the land.
Roger's unique combination of experiences positions him to make informed decisions that take
into account the broader implications on the community and the environment. If confirmed, he
will occupy the At Large-S.Kona seat with a term ending December 31, 2027.
