Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Resolution No. 418-24, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 418-24,transmitted by Finance Director Diane Nakagawa, via Communication No. 700
dated January 19, 2024, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one
fiscal year for multi-year leases for two trailer mounted pumps and one portable pump for the
Department of Environmental Management.
This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into five-year lease agreements with an approximate
monthly cost of$3,780 for the two trailer mounted portable pumps and$4,300 for the portable pump,
to be used by the Wastewater Division.
Environmental Management Director Ramzi Mansour was available in the Hilo Chambers to answer
any questions.
The department provided a brief overview.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 418-24, and
recommends its adoption.
