Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Resolution No. 419-24,reports as follows:
Resolution No. 419-24,transmitted by Finance Director Diane Nakagawa, via Communication No. 701
dated January 19, 2024, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one
fiscal year for a multi-year lease for two grapple trucks for the Department of Environmental
Management.
This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a five-year lease agreement with an approximate
monthly cost of$11,000,to be used by the Solid Waste Division.
Environmental Management Director Ramzi Mansour was available in the Hilo Chambers to answer
any questions.
The department provided a brief overview.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 419-24, and
recommends its adoption.
